"We stayed at Virginia Creek Settlement, and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, check-in was quick and welcoming. This place is over 100 years old, yet it’s impeccably maintained—immaculate, warm, and incredibly charming. The heater kept the room cozy despite temperatures being below 20 degrees during our stay, and they even provided extra blankets, which we truly appreciated.
The staff was super attentive and friendly. There’s a restaurant on site, and everything we ordered was delicious—steak, pasta, and the wine selections were spot on. It’s perfect for outdoor lovers: great food without being overly fancy.
Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We also met the owners, who are incredibly down-to-earth and passionate about what they do. One of the coolest parts was their Virginia Creek trout project—you can even feed the fish.
They also have a campfire area set up by the creek. We made s’mores one of the nights we stayed, and it was such a fun experience. Never thought I’d say this, but Virginia Creek Settlement was actually the highlight of our trip—a truly hidden gem in Bridgeport. We’ll definitely be back again soon!"
"Check in was easy, explanation of room and parking spot on. Room is a good size, open feeling for a hotel room. Looking forward to a great weekend in Lee Vining!"
"Got snowed in and was forced to book a hotel in the area for the night
To my pleasant surprise, the staff was very caring and hospitable. Provided me alternative route directions for the following morning.
The room was spacious yet cozy and very well kept. More than what I could say for most hotels. I don't know when, but I will make an effort to stay again sometime in the future. Hopefully under better circumstances however. "
"This is Bridgeport, so do NOT expect the Hilton! Simply a nice, clean & quite, friendly place to stay overnight at for a (relatively) reasonable price.
(And the Mexican restaurant across the road is excellent!)"
"had comfortable stay. reasonable prices when compared to other stays in that location. front desk was courteous as well. had all the amenities as needed"
