"Don’t be fooled by the location you have to drive through an industrial area but once you get to the lodge it’s over looking the river very peaceful and quiet. You’re only 5 minutes from downtown Golden. Very friendly staff they went above and beyond of being helpful. Our room was a bit small but very clean bedding and towels were new . The lobby was spotless. I would highly recommend the Lodge a Lantern!"

"The view is to die for so ultimately that’s really what the three stars is for the view the wilderness everything about that area is beautiful. That being said the mountain Lodge at least from my visit everything was broken. The elevator the steamer room, the sauna it was kind of a bummer. Yeah it was early in the season and at least my understanding a new company has taken over the place, but even my AC in my room didn’t work. The staff seem so unwilling and unhelpful. I didn’t even bring it...

"The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality. The air conditioner was a little loud, but it was just fan noise, no jarring noises. The scenery was awesome. My wife approved of my choice."

"The hotel was decently clean but so many things were NOT up to standard. The gym smelled moldy and had one kettlebell and two cardio pieces that were very old and gross. The clock wasn’t working and there was nothing to clean the equipment with. The second floor ice maker didn’t work. The plug in by the nightstand was so loose it didn’t charge anything. The shower made a screaming noise for about 5 minutes. Even the key cards looked like they’d been used 100 times and were dirty and scratched...
