"This place is ideal if you know what you are in for. I appreciated the location, once I realised it was 22 km from Golden, up a soft dirt/gravel winding road, away from anything. I did not receive the email from the property advising me of all the details until after I arrived to check in, because I was away from wifi and cell signal. I did not know my room was open, and the details I needed (bring dinner or dinner supplies, for e.g.). Check in was therefore quite unpleasant, because I didn't know what to do and when I called the number provided -- the phone rang right beside me. With no wifi (there is, but I didn't know it) I couldn't "check in" or pay. Fortunately, I was rescued by a helpful woman, who was friendly and cheerful. The cabin was good, but the cooking area was unlit, and if I wanted to plug in the lamp, I could then not plug in the kettle, toaster, or microwave. I plugged the kettle into another outlet in the cabin and blew a fuse. By this time, I was not having fun. Having settled all that, I enjoyed the quiet, the view, and the quirky signs and the wooden gym equipment. So -- if you know what you're in for, you will enjoy it."
