"I arrived well before check in and was able to store my luggage and spend a couple of hours in the pool. I was content to then wait in the cafe until check-in time, but the staff kindly prepared my room so I could go in early. My only disappointment was the lack of vegan options on the menu, and, as so often happens, it was pretty much chips or nothing. Fortunately, the chips were excellent"

"While this is a beautiful old hotel, it does come with some issues. The HVAC in our room did not work. We asked 3 times to get fixed. Luckily the windows can open but the street noise was very loud. The shower was nice but water splashed everywhere due to the small glass door and very slippery. Dated but full of charm. Not a 5 star but perhaps a 4."

"We had a wonderful stay at Yarra Valley Lodge and couldn't have been more impressed. The property is set amongst beautiful natural surroundings, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that feels like a true escape from the city. The spacious room was spotless, comfortable, and offered lovely views of the gardens and estate. The lodge is located on a large estate near the gateway to the Yarra Valley wine region, making it an ideal base for exploring the area."

"This hotel is located within the free tram zone and boasts a prime location right across from Queen Victoria Market. I had planned to just whip up a simple dinner in my room, but since the place even had a full-size oven, I was able to enjoy cooking with locally sourced ingredients I bought at the market. All the staff were friendly. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit Melbourne."

"Checkin was frustrating… we were in a ‘private residence’ however we’re not told this. It was relevant because we were only able to use 2 out of the 5 elevators available and even then you had to use a different scanner to access the floor level you were on. None of this was explained to us until the 3rd time we approached the reception! We were also given only one set of keys for a 2 bedroom apartment. We wanted to use the TV however this did not work and the remote appeared to have no...

"Great long weekend stay! > We stayed here from Thursday to Sunday and had a wonderful experience. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. All of the staff members we encountered were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay!"

Other than the one teaspoon provided cutlery was also plentiful. Housekeeping is every second day and is “hit and miss”; ie, the kitchen sink wasn’t cleaned and on the first occasion replacement dishwashing powder wasn’t left (thankfully Reception has a supply of this and other items).
