"Clean room, stocked with beach and bath towels. Bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable allowing for a great night sleep. Bath had a personal jacuzzi tub. Their outdoor jacuzzi along with their spa robes felt like a luxurious experience at the spa. The wife and I bought a wine bottle, and their front desk provided the cork opener and glasses. Breakfast was a homier version of a hotel's continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and offered golf cart rides to the local beach."

"I booked my stay here because I was looking forward to experiencing the beauty of a historical hotel. Much was missing to complete the charm that the hotel could have had. Im not an interior decorator, but a few cans of paint and repairs/carpet cleaning wouldve made a huge impact. Pillows, authenic prints and attention to details would help. Sorry - but paying $350 a night didnt support what I got. :("

"Our room and the inn were perfect-very clean and the view from our porch was gorgeous! Check-in/out was so easy. Kim and Lisa are so kind and friendly and they make the BEST breakfast. Easy access to get to the beach! We stayed during the week and it was so quiet and tranquil at the inn. It truly felt like a second honeymoon getaway for our 7 year anniversary. Absolutely perfect stay and we will definitely be back!!"

"Loved staying here! The property, inside and out, was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The view of the park and the river across the street was lovely. All the positives make up for the location being a bit further from restaurants and bars, although within walking distance depending on your abilities. We’d stay here again!"

"Quiet location providing easy walking to most of the historic and museum sites as well as restaurants aplenty. Charleston provides a downtown area shuttle (DASH) if walking is an issue. Good included breakfast with many options. Friendly staff. The accommodations are not opulent but they're comfortable and enjoyable. The draw is the history of the building and the area. The other guests were all friendly. No one was there with a "one percenter attitude.""
