"With taxes, etc our room cost us over $400. We were definitely disappointed. Yes, the hotel is in a convenient location, close to restaurants and across from The Captain Cook (which we had reservations for the next night). We arrived from a very long day of travel and wanted a soda or bottled water… not one vending machine in the place. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette was unnecessary, the curtains weren’t sun blocking. The gal at checkin was very nice."

"This did not feel like a safe building or area. Room was bare bones but not particularly clean, and the deadbolt had been removed from the interior of the door. Would not have felt safe without my husband also there, and even so we almost changed hotels last second."

The area around the hotel has issues with a homeless population. There were numerous times when entering or leaving the hotel, a homeless person was in the parking lot or on the sidewalk near the entrance screaming or acting iratically. One night of my stay, I heard shouting from my room. A woman yelling "get out I'll call the cops" and a man responding with profanities. I assume one of the neighborhood homeless found...

"I’ll start with the positive. The room was clean and the staff was nice.

No air-conditioning in the rooms although there obviously used to be, there is ductwork for the air-conditioning and where a return vent used to be a sheet of plywood covering the hole. "This hotel was under construction when we checked in . But the staffs were extremely helpful in everything. There is no elevator in the property but the staffs helped us carrying up & down our luggages . They even helped us loading our car . The rooms were very clean and the staffs made sure we had everything we need for our stay . Our special thanks goes to Mike & Amanda who made our stay very comfortable & memorable also ."
