"I unfortunately think this hotel lacks a lot for the price you pay. For $300 a night it’s whatever, but normal weekend prices of 450+ would have upset me. The hallways are very loud and there’s a big gap under the door so you have to put a towel by the door so it’s not bright during bedtime. The room was extremely run down. I will definitely be staying at the JW from now on, or honestly any other hotel. For that price I could have stayed anywhere and it would have been a nicer stay with...

"Property is nice. Room had a large gap under the door and I could hear everything in the hallway.
At around 6 am I woke and there was no power in the hotel. Had to shower and pack up for an important at event with cell phone light only. Lobby was a mess with upset customers.
For the price , you would think they would have a generator onsite ( multiple ) to accommodate an emergency.
Contacted them directly and although they have apologized , they’ve offered no compensation for the...

"We love visiting Grand Rapids. We reserved a room so our family could enjoy a day at Meijer Garden and another day at the zoo. The young man that checked us in was pleasant and told us about the light dinner and the next day’s breakfast.
He was the highlight of our stay.
The ‘dinner’ fare was passable, but limited choices.
Our room was odd, an interior room with a small window overlooking a hall or narrow atrium, couldn’t figure it out. The dark colors of the room gave it a cell sort of vibe....

"The room was clean which is the most important. Had all the extras, like microwave, fridge, etc. Parking was convenient and easily available. Staff was friendly and helpful. One small negative on the room. It had a toilet paper holder that was broken. Still functional by not attached to the wall correctly. Breakfast was adequate but could have some improvement. Some items not available at the time we came in to eat. Overall, a good place to stay for us. Minor issues."

"Very cool hotel, clean, quaint. The room was cute and decorated very stylish. Good location for the event we were attending. Communicating with staff was easy and quick responses.
Only downside: late in the evening another guest was singing in another room and we heard it in our bathroom? Kinda creeped us out. Luckily not for long."
