"The whole hotel has a strong smell it made my head hurt the lamps didn’t work so had minimal light in the room I was staying in. "

"The room was ok. The only had half glass so water splashed out the whole time. And the shower "screamed" a horrible squeeling noise when the water was on. No relaxing showers.We had to keep towels down on yhe. Also, random stairs after you got off the elevator.... because we had a suite it was different then a regular room."

"The Mayfair was a beautiful property, and very clean and spacious. The staff was excellent, particularly Jeanine, who was very helpful and communicative . The location is convenient. Brunch at The Ruby Slipper, in the same building is great!"

"It’s become our tradition to stay at Melrose Mansion when we visit New Orleans. This was our 4th stay but the first time in six years. It has maintained its status as a wonderful destination with an incredible staff. We traveled with our 4 year old and the room size was perfect. Can’t wait to be back! "

"Breakfast was very good. Other things not so good. Thermostat didn’t work. There was a stain running down the side of the bed that looked like vomit. No cups in bathroom. Bathroom very tiny with no counter space. Tub was old looking with moldy corners and broken drain stopper rolling around the tub. And be prepared for an unusual amount of extremely loud horrible truck noise in the middle of the night. I don’t understand why it was so noisy. I don’t know if the windows are thin, but it was...

"Very helpful and attentive staff..quiet area, but internal noise was an issue. Loud guests and the stairs ahould be carpeted for noise reduction. Bring ear plugs! No elevator, nice spacious comfy rooms. Was close to all the action and shops and restaurants. "
