"The rooms were clean The bathrooms were also pretty clean. The front desk staff was absolutely phenomenal! They were incredibly helpful, friendly and informative! Keep in mind it is a hostel, where you are sharing the bathrooms with other people, but for what it is and the price, it was great. Right now we're staying down the street at a much nicer hotel but the front desk staff does not even compare to how wonderful they were at Kick Ass. In fact, I'm probably going to go in there tomorrow...

"Great view of castle excellent local, close to eve scene and castle, be prepared for hill and many stairs in Edinburgh. Staff very helpful and even offered to give directions with fewest stairs, no ac but had a fan came late May REALLY HOT in room windows only opened s small crack (we did come when they had a heat wave)"
