"It was our first time ever traveling to Dominican Republic and we were so so happy to have had the luck to come across this great place. If you are looking for a private beach atmosphere, this is the place. ❤️ We literally had the beach all to ourselves and it was the most incredible experience. The scenery is breathtaking and the food was amazing. All was supreme but the best thing the hotel had was the outstanding service from EVERY SINGLE staff member. From Joel at the front that greeted us with the biggest smile and comfort to Keila and Ronal at the restaurant and the amazing Chef who was always there making us special requests due to our eating habits. I also wanted to thank Leo and Beatriz at the bar station, their smile and attention to detail was so captivating. Last but certainly not least the one who makes this whole team possible, Dasa. She was always always there, attentive to anything that was going on and making it work when we wanted or needed something. The team is superb and one thing that caught my attention is that everyone was always aware of what was going on, if we had needed let’s say towels… they would come around asking (others who we did not ask for towels) about the towels…as if they all communicated on our needs. This was indeed a great trip thanks to them. We will be back again because they made us feel like family.🥰"
Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"The service was nothing like I've experienced before, I felt like a king at the resort. There were plenty of activies at the resort. Plus, you can book events outside the resort and most provide transportation to and from the event. The rooms are very nice and modern with updated light and controls. I would recommend getting a room with a swimout pool becuase the pool close at 6 PM. With the swimout pool, you can hang in the pool any time.
Im definitely going back!"

"Although the property was new (a few weeks open) and still had items to work through, it was pretty nice! The location was great and felt very private. The shore line is still being worked on, but it was still nice and had hammocks and chairs near it. The pool bar was great. Danny was our favorite bartender. The food was good as well. Our favorite meals were at Manicato and Yucca. The rooms were nice. The service was a little slow at times, but the people were friendly and apologetic. A few things were wrong- wrong room, fan was noisy, dark curtains wouldn’t close, but, overall, it was nice! I can see it being a popular place in the future once everything is up and running (slides, teen club, pickleball courts, Azure restaurant and pool). "
"What an amazing experience. We went to celebrate 2 of our friends 40th & 50th bday. We were a group of 10 people. We just got back and it was a soft opening with low occupancy. The hotel and staff wowed us! Beautiful and top of the line resort, liquor and food. At the pool surged us Giselle. She went over and beyond to meet our wants and needs. She made sure our drinks we perfect, food and entertainment. I cannot say enough about her. The bartender are amazing too. The stuff China, baby Angel) that’s what we called him), China Africana ( also what we called him, I think his real name is Eliser) Gregory, Hoshi and everyone else made our stay unfortunately. At the Spa, my therapist named Marisol, was excellent. One of not the best massage and body scrub that I have ever had. At the Spa a young lady name Stefanie made sure we had the full spa experience with all the different water pool massages and treatments. I cannot wait to go back and see it at full capacity and all they have to offer. Will come back soon❤️"
