"Stayed here for a weekend and when we checked-in the room did not seem fully cleaned, such as not many toiletries and definitely not properly vacuumed. It wasn’t horrible but noticeable. I booked for 3 people in a double room and they didn’t seem to have prepared for that or noted it, so we had to ask for some extra stuff such as pillows and towels. "The room was clean, nice shower and hot water. The hot water did not work in the bathroom sink. The mattress had a dip on one side (kind of a hole), the door to the hall would pop open even when locked. We came back from an event and our room door was open. "The room was outdated in decor. We loved the location right on the beach and I spent a lot of time sitting outside. But the tiled floor needed mopping and wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. The breakfast in a bag was just a tragedy. For the price I paid for the room a skimpy, cold, cellophane wrapped item that I need to microwave just didn't cut it. "Electrical plugs were all loose and difficult to get to work. We had two nights scheduled however the party noise right outside our windows made for very poor sleeping so we left only staying one night. We complained to the management and they said they would talk to them."

"We had a great stay at the Grand Beach Resort! We went for Memorial Day weekend and I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodating nature of the staff (especially Adriel!!!) . They handled our minor concerns with care and professionalism and the room was clean, breakfast was timely and tasty, and the beach was maintained and so enjoyable - all for a reasonable price, even on a holiday weekend. I will DEFINITELY be back when I return to Traverse City and will recommend to others."
