"Hot water was unavailable on one of the mornings. We had an afternoon event and the water was not fixed by the time we had to leave. No compensation was given because "it was fixed" But that didn't help us because we had to leave before it was fixed. Just because "others were ok" with it doesn't change our inconvience. Very disappointed with customer response. Major safety issue: Our third floor window had not lock or screen. We were adults but not in the least safe!"
"The staff at the counter was very friendly and helpful, we forgot something in the room after we checked out and left called and she put me on hold and went to the room and located our item so we drove over an hour to pick it up. Thank you so much."
"In Owosso there are few options for a hotel and the Comstock is probably the best. The hallways & elevators needed cleaning bad. The room was adequate but the foam beads offered no support at all. I sleep on a firm bed and found theirs to be extremely uncomfortable."
"Very small rooms in this old-fashioned roadside motel. Some cosmetic upgrades have taken place but there's only so much you can do for an old cinder block building. The biggest problem was heat. It's radiant heat with no way to control it. They have a fake thermostat for a central air furnace on the wall, but it does nothing. It's March and the only way to get the heat below 80 is to leave windows open! Doesn't feel to safe leaving ground level windows open. We were roasting hot. We also had ants. The mattress was super hard, so in conjunction with the heat, we didn't sleep much. The motel is pet friendly, which means they charge you $20 per night for pets. Not sure how this qualifies as friendly. Our dog didn't use linens, towels, or eat some dry cereal from their "continental breakfast" so I'm not sure why we paid more. Might be better to be here in summer and use the wall mounted air conditioner, but we'll never come back in winter. "
