"I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Westgate.
Upon arrival, the experience started off poorly due to a complete lack of available parking. While the front desk manager was courteous and helpful—explaining that we could text the front desk for assistance and request housekeeping as needed—the actual experience did not reflect what was promised.
On our first day, we visited one of the pools and found the hot tub filled with children clearly under the posted age limit (signage stated 14+). This created an uncomfortable and inappropriate environment. We contacted security, but no one ever responded. As a result, we were forced to leave the pool area altogether.
Even more concerning, especially during a busy Easter weekend, there were no lifeguards on duty at any pool. This is a serious safety issue and completely unacceptable given the volume of guests.
The following day, we attempted to use another pool, only to find that the jacuzzi was not operational.
Housekeeping was another major issue. Despite booking four rooms totaling over $6,000 for a 7-day/6-night stay, we were told we would have to pay extra just to have our rooms cleaned. This directly contradicted what we were told at check-in. When we requested even a one-time courtesy cleaning for one room it was denied.
Additionally, the rooms themselves were outdated and below expectations for the price point. For what we paid, the accommodations should have been far more modern and well-maintained.

"Fresh cooked breakfast ready and waiting for us in the dining hall was an exciting experience. Music playing, fresh coffee, nice cozy personal ambiance, food was deliciously flavorful and a few options to chose from. Place is extremely clean, open to tour open spaces, and the history is super cool. Pillows and beds very comfortable and had to ask what brand everything was so I could order for my home. Jim is super friendly and sociable and we really enjoyed his hospitality. This is our 2nd time staying here, and will be back for sure."
"Small family-owned B&B, and owner takes the time to get to know you. Rooms are old-fashioned but comfy if you like a no-nonsense stay without bells and whistles. Homemade breakfast is provided in the morning but the portions are pretty small. Pretty easy walk to restaurants and businesses in the downtown area. "
"Property is clean. It is located close to the road so you can hear the traffic and trucks all night long if you are a light sleeper. The bed is VERY firm as well. The shower pressure is really good and the water gets hot— nice and relaxing after hiking and looking for elk."
