"What a beautiful oasis! They are located on an island you were surrounded with beauty everywhere. There are plenty places to sit and relax outside with the views of the courtyard inside. Our room was a newly renovated, modern and beautiful. It was the first time during our trip in Europe. We had a large TV. Finally, the shower too was impeccable I wished I took photos of the inside. "Beautiful art deco room with all amenities needed for a weary traveler. Getting to old town Lyon was simple and having reserved parking was nice. Host was communicative and helpful. I would definitely stay here again."

"Decent location, nice staff, strange decor/style which seemed to really date the property. The air conditioning barely cooled down the room. The bathroom curtains are very sheer and so it was extremely hot in the bathroom, even at 10am with the blazing sun on a high floor. It was 30 degrees C during our 1 night stay in May so quite miserable sleeping/showering."

"Room was very clean and roomy. It’s a very old building and there are rooms that have no windows though. That’s fine if there is a significant price difference but not good for a multi-night stay. Best to call in advance to try to get one of the couple of rooms that have windows. It’s also perfectly located just outside the old city. Easy walk to everything."

"The staff at Le Phenix are amazing . Always friendly. I felt comfortable with them. They are gracious for we English speakers who have less than rudimentary French (I practiced! Really I did!) The rooms have good AC if necessary. The restaurant associated with the hotel is shockingly good. Such a wonderful lunch! We did not have the breakfast buffet because we eat so light, we did not find value. I do wish there was a hot water kettle in the room. Beds are comfortable. Our room was spacious....

"Hotel itself is beautiful. Pool and amenities as advertised. Staff are well trained, professional, and very friendly. The room fit and fondue do not reflect the price - layouts are quite strange, ie. no sink on the same floor as the toilet and shower. And Bring your own mattress because the beds are exceptionally uncomfortable. Location would be the main reason to stay "

"We had a suite which was perfect for a family with 2 babies. Kitchen and living room were well separated with proper blind to make the babies sleep separately at night. The equipment was great"
