"This property is excellent for a short break for a couple of days.common areas spotless.
Room clean, bed very comfortable. Staff welcoming, helpful, qall you could wish for.
Apparently the property was originally built by Newbury racecourse for the jockeys. Possibly because of this there are few creature comforts such as no fridges, cupboards or desks. You hang clothes on a rail in the bedroom. None of this would really matter to the short stayer clients.
Also the basic room is rather cramped so we asked to be moved to a larger room which was readily made available
Self service continental breakfast and cooked breakfast is cooked to order and was excellent. Nice bright and airy breakfast room with full bar available either inside or outside. We thought it great value for money
Located Newbury racecourse grounds, plenty of free on site parking. We used as a base to visit Highclere castle( better known as Downton Abbey of course)"
