"This is actually a motel, a small one but rooms are great, clean and comfortable"

"Our room smelled terrible when we arrived. Like nauseating, like puke, or possibly bacteria from the shower drain. We had to bring in body spray and open the windows. The headboards are fabric and had crustys. I just was not very comfortable based on those things. Also, one if our mattresses was short, my feet hung over the edge, as I wasn't keen on getting too close to the headboard. Staff was polite. I was super disappointed the pools were not open. "My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. Upon arriving in my room, I immediately noticed that the bed sheets were stained, which is completely unacceptable for any accommodation, regardless of price point. Cleanliness should be a basic standard, and this was a major concern. In the morning, I went to the breakfast room during the advertised hours, only to find that there was no food available. "The rooms were decent and clean. A/C and Heat worked well in the room. Bed was very comfortable and decent Cable TV package. The free/included breakfast was a great option to have available in the morning. Staff were all friendly and helpful."

"I was asked to put down a security deposit of $150. That wasn’t on my total due at property upon check in when I secured my stay. Sandman staff wouldn’t give me a receipt saying it had been refunded told me to contact Expedia? I don’t understand why as Expedia didn’t ask for a deposit or even state I needed to apply one?
