On this occasion I arrived close to the spa facilities closing but the lady on reception (an Irish accent) was really helpful and explained that it was ok to go in and she would keep it all open for another 15-20 minutes which was just enough time for me to relax and unwind after a hectic day. I stayed again 2 days later and arrived in plenty of time to really enjoy the facilities this time."

The service was great at check in, check out and the restaurant. Our room was extremely spacious and very nice. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the sitting area very nice. The big negative is there is no air conditioning. I guess I should have assumed this since the building is so old but we have stayed at older places that have been renovated and there is air conditioning. The hallways and common places in the hotel are so comfortable and it feels as though there is air conditioning there but not in the rooms."
