"Beautiful condition of hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Location was cool but long walks into Florence center but okay to beat the congestion of the city center trade off. The area directly outside the hotel gate was very sketchy especially if you are traveling solo. Once in the very narrow entrance of the property, you feel safe. "

"The apartments are nice, clean and very comfortable. However, we reserved a one level apartment and they gave us an “upgrade” to a two level flat that due to our age was very inconvenient but we accepted it because at least it had a bathroom at each level. The problem was that it was very difficult to flush the toilet and they know it because it had a small sign saying “push it fast”. It was not a matter of pushing fast; you had to flush it 5, 6, and even 10 times to make it work. The next day my hand hurt, we complained, and were moved to the one level apartment originally booked. The other problem we had was that they control the air conditioning and it was set to work only for heating, and not cooling although weather was hot. The solution provided was to open the windows, but it was very noisy outside and, although bed is big and comfortable, we didn’t sleep well. "
