The Santo Spirito Venti is in a great location if you want to be close to the Piazza Santa Maria Novella area but want to avoid the noise and crowdedness. It is near a lot of good restaurants. The room was clean and there were enough room for my three kids and me. No complaints but some things of note. Like many old buildings it is hard to regulate the temperature. It was still mild outside (in the 50s F). My kids and I found it really hot in the room. I keep my home at 67 F even when it is 20-30 degrees outside. There is an elevator but it is really small and can hold maybe 2 petite people and one small carry on.
Just a note for those who are use to hotels or B&Bs in the States, to bring some shampoo and conditioner (there is body wash provided), and the toilet paper is much smaller so you may want to make sure there is enough spare rolls ( I think it's because the bidet is used in lieu of toilet paper).
