"Checked in late. The women at the desk was friendly, the room was clean. No coffe pot, but they kept coffe available 24 hours, which is much nicer in my opinion. But the staff at night was the best part"

"Simple hotel/motel not far from the VT Campus. It's a bit dated but at least it's clean. The manager was friendly and accommodating to my request for non-smoking room. It's definitely a no frills place but the rooms have nice size refrigerators and microwave ovens."

"Aged property and non-smoking room smells like smoke, but there is a fridge with freezer, microwave and a nice Mexican restaurant a mile down the road. Inexpensive compared with near by options, and close to trailhead. "

"What started out a little rough with check in, has turned into a wonderful experience. Not only are the rooms spacious and comfortable, it is spotless! And I’m neat freak! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Thank you Jean for being so gracious and accommodating. "

"Four things could make it better. 1.I could not sleep in the bed because I could not get into it - way too high and I'm not a short person. 2. Have sheets in the sofa bed. I had to sleep with no covers or anything the first night. 3. Provide more than one wastebasket. 4. Remote instructions. It took us quite awhile to figure it out and then we had to try to figure out what we did again. "

"Quiet and charming hotel close to Mt. Airy, nC, and I-77. A great drive north on US-52 if you're going north and don't want to bother with the interstate. Also close to blue ridge parkway."
