"excellent little cabins and friendly curtious staff"

"Great location! Near lakes, rivers, historical sights, dining, fast food, coffee shops, the highway, and other cities are close by. The hotel itself is a bit old and run-down. The pillows are as flat as pancakes, the floorboards were tapped down in some areas, and the shower tile was coming off the wall. Some of the outlets no longer work, and the room smells like smoke."

"The room had pubic hairs in the bathroom! And the tub needed to be redone better to cover up the mold. But it was a comfortable bed and very nice desk staff I would honestly go to another place for the same price in the area and have breakfast because the breakfast was nonexistent and very disappointing. We liked the coffee machine! That was awesome. Not worth it for the price. In my opinion there are other hotels in the area that are the same price that offer breakfast and are more updated as...

"Prompt service upon arrival, with excellent comp gifts on check in that made the stay even better. Conveniently located with a very short walk to food and entertainment. Old Town Pizza is right around the corner and you are missing out if you don’t get some. Parking lot is nice and the rooms are modernized. Can’t beat for the price and convenience."

"The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and awesome! Officially this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. The location is wonderful as a rest stop, is next to an In-n-Out, and very close to the American River and wonderful natural hiking spots in Auburn! Thanks, Holiday Inn staff for being so awesome :)"

"The room was clean. Although the pool wasn’t heated and a bit dirty. Breakfast was okay, not anything special I’d say for $300 a night I expected more. Expedia also says there is a $20 parking fee. They charge you at the front desk at check in this “fee” which includes parking and amenities which are just like cucumber lemon water and these very small smoothies glasses by the front door. The fee turned out to be $120. I think for the price staying here wasn’t worth it. Although staff was kind."

"Staff were very nice but this is an incredibly dated hotel. The fabric softener was overbearing and required the room to be left with windows open a long time, walls are thin, bed not great not horrible. Windows are open right to a hallway that’s active so people are basically 1 foot from you when they walk down th hall. Whole place needs a refresh. For $140 not really worth it. Right next to the highway which you can hear during the day but is quiet at night. Mostly. I’ve been to motel 6s that...

"The gentleman at the front desk at check in was very friendly. Other than that the staff that came on later had a terrible attitude, when I asked for a plunger delivered to my room. I had to go to the front desk and leave my special needs son by himself. The room was filthy and smelled like urine. The bathroom tile grout was falling out of the seams and the property was in very poor condition. Definitely not worth $150 a night! Don’t stay here."

"Shelly and Louis at the front desk are extremely customer service oriented - they are extremely helpful, very courteous and go out of their way to offer assistance NO matter the issue. It’s much appreciated- I’m in the area due to my elderly mothers failing health. The caring customer service and an ear to listen to the last on my mom is much appreciated!"

"The bar was very well stocked and had anything one would want. I was disappointed that this time on Taco Tuesday, they were unable to make me a vegetarian taco like they did last time. I went looking forward to it, and went without dinner. :-/ Luckily, I brought a few snacks. The scones and frittata at breakfast were very nice! Parking is hit or miss. I suggested they give guests a pass to put in their window to prevent non-guests from using the lot. Next time, I'll arrive well before...

"parking was easy access on both sides of the hotel checkout at 12 and i forgot to hang the do not disturb . Housekeeping was opening the door around ten a little over anxious but hey they have a lot to do . "
