"I visited Hotel West End in Nice, France ten years ago. I was struck with the beauty of the hotel and its old World charm. It is as I remembered. The hotel is elegant and well maintained. Warm touches throughout, including beautiful boutiques of fresh flowers as you step onto your floor. One of the oldest hotels in Nice, it is well situated off the Promenade, and makes for easy walking along the shore and into the Old Town.
We arranged a pick up service, through the hotel, and was picked up on time (despite several airline changes), with a greeting by name, on arrival. Check in was expedient, professional and friendly.
We took advantage of the breakfast buffet as an add on to our package, and we could not be happier with the friendly staff service, expediency (in clearing used dishes), and maintaining a fantastic and full buffet (with fresh scrambled, eggs for boiling, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit (in salad and whole), full characuterie section (cold cuts, cheeses, etc.), and let's not forget the fresh baked goods (croissant, crepes, breads, pastries). Many more items."
"We only Hotel In Monaco with a private Beach which is a great class. Had friends to stay there and they were very happy with all the amenities, polite professional staff and proximity to all the restaurants along the beach and Avenue Princess Grace."
"This place really needs to be updated. The hotel is very old and weathered. For the price, I feel like it would benefit by being updated. We left really early in the morning fore check out and we couldn't figure out how to get out of the hotel. We were looking around and the front staff was sleeping in another part of the lobby in the dark room so we didn't see him. Then he said, well you should have called out for me. But we were talking at normal volume and he was not too far but didn't hear us. So he blamed him sleeping on us not looking harder for him or yelling out to him. That was not a good experience. Overall, would not stay again."
"This hotel was wonderful! The first thing I want to address is how friendly and accommodating the staff was. Including the bar staff! The location was perfect, very central to everything. My downside to this hotel was the noise- it was very loud til about 1am every night but I guess that is the price you pay for having a central location. The rooms were not that clean, for example, the crumbs on the carpet stayed for days til we said something about it, and there was some sort of chocolate stains on the walls that were not taken care of upon checking into the room and the extension of our entire stay. The rooms on the left side (level 3) where we stayed were not updated. No USB plug ins and no smart tv so come prepared with wall chargers. I checked into a different room (level 5) where I was told the rooms were newly renovated and I had better soaps, a USB plug in next to the bed and a smart tv with English channels. Overall I had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel to anyone and would absolutely come back. Would love to see my bartender friends Mohammed and Diana again! "
