"Unfortunately this property has passed its heyday which is a shame as the potential is there. If you are looking for a relaxing break forget it as it is geared towards hen weekends/ spa breaks and multiple weddings. Property maintenance is sadly lacking everything looks tired and rundown. The drawer in our bedside cabinet would not close and the shower barely clung onto the wall. Suggest requesting a room somewhere quiet if there is such an area. "I paid for an upgrade but when we arrived we were not told until we moved in that there was scaffolding in front of the window and a walkway.as we were unpacking a young couple walked into the room and told us it was thier room reception had double booked the room.on our last night we went to the claret Jug as we didn’t want a meal just a snack despite the menu saying they were open until 9pm they wouldn’t serve us as they said they stop serving at 6 o clock, it was 10 past 6"
