The hotel is an easy 10-15 walk to town but there is also a bus stop at the hotel with a bus leaving every 30 minutes. The accommodations were clean and modern. "Quick check-in as we arrived after 8 pm. Kiara went above and beyond for me when I asked for ice (which is a luxury in Italy). The room was a nice size and very clean. It’s not fancy by any means but safe, quiet, clean and comfortable and the location and experience of staying in a former monastery can’t be beat. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was very good and included. "The location was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. My only critiques would be that there was no a/c. A fan would have really helped. I opened my windows a little but there was a pigeon who sat outside my bathroom window at night so I couldn't open it very wide. Also, they should probably spend a little money and update the sheets and comforter which were not soft at all. But given the price, location, and staff, I would consider staying here again. "
"Wonderful place to stay. You do have to drop your luggage off —they will send you an e-mail about this —and then park down the mountain in a parking lot. The couple that manage the hotel are fabulous. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast exceptional, and the service was definitely a 10.
