"This is a great resort tucked away on the hillside of Chelmsform. My wife and I stayed a couple days. Will definitely return."

Flooboards creaked whereever I walked, inside the room, as well as on the stairs. Breakfast was poor quality and selection. Swimming pool had nice outdoor area. Was asked to pay deposit upon checking in. Given there was nothing removal from the room, did they suspect I might be taking the bed with me? Overall, not impressed."

"The rooms. at the Essex Golf and Country Club are very nice and super clean. Be aware there is no in-room ac that we could find and just the smallest desk fan in the room but perhaps this is only an issue for 3 weeks a year! We arrived late (9.30pm) and check was smooth, went to the room and unpacked and notice in the room directory suggested the bar was open until 10.30pm. We meander up only to be informed that last orders was at 10pm so we would only be permitted to purchase one drink. Then...

"The hotel looks awful from the outside, like an American run down Motel. Inside is a whole different ballgame, it’s been renovated to a high standard throughout. Room was comfy, great blackout curtains, quality bed and bedsheets. The only downside is that you have to pay for parking £8 for overnight, which I feel is ridiculous.
