The great bars and beautiful river views are top of the list for many visitors to Old Town Gdańsk. A stop by Gdańsk Main Town Hall or Artus Court might round out your trip.
You can study the exhibits at Artus Court, a museum with a storied past, during your holiday in Gdańsk. Stroll along the riverfront or visit the shops in the area.
The old town in particular is fantastic, though pricey. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Local transportation's easy and cheap, it's easy to get outside the city center as well, both to the port or to the countryside.

Gdansk is a beautiful city we were lucky enough to visit in the sunshine excellent thought provoking museums great food scene and beautiful old town as well as some very cool reimagining of some of the buildings in the dockland area

Gdansk is also a great touring location. Malbork Castle, Sopot and Gdynia are all in easy reach for a day out. I recommend the train for convenience and when you return you are in a great place for your evenings entertainment.

Do not miss the Christmas market it is just around the corner. We loved the restaurants and museums. Also the shopping on main street and Forum. And of course the amazing old buildings.

A couple of food tips: Breakfast/Bagels at Balans - top class Whiskey in the Jar - fab quality sizzling steak Solidarity museum superbly presented and organised. Will be back to do others.

Gdansk was so much more than i exspected really enjoy our stay reasonable prices lots of restaurants bars cafés lovely Christmas Market.
