"We loved the hotel. The location was convenient. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. Two minor complaints: 1 - the room was too dark. Definitely needed more lighting; and 2 - our drain in the shower kept filling up and we had to turn the shower off so that it wouldn’t overflow.
Would definitely stay there again. "

"The view of Edinburgh Castle out of my window was amazing—a clean and lovely hotel. I must mention that the room did not have air conditioning, so I had to leave the window open at night, which was a bit loud until late because of the wonderful bars and restaurants in that area, but that view made up for it. "This hotel is in a great location. Close to Royal Mile, museums and shopping. Downside is no parking so best to skip car rental til you are ready to go to next location in Scotland. The food was excellent with complimentary Champaign at arrival and breakfast."

"This is a very pleasant and modern hotel in a very good location. An excellent base for seeing the city.
They don't do breakfast but there are seversl cafes within minutes' walk that do. Free drinks in the comfy lounge in the late afternoon is a good offer.
The main downsides are that the rooms at least the one we had - are very small at the price, although well equipped. Our shower had a life of its own and was frankly something of a danger to life and limb.
The staff are friendly, charming and helpful. They were very kind to our dog who was well catered for."
