"The hotel itself is pretty new and very comfortable. It is an apartment with two bedrooms, one living room, kitchen. Quiet for a good night sleep.
The only problem for me is that I'm still waiting the receipt that it's supposed to be sent soon after the stay and nothing yet. And I need the receipt to get a refund from the Company."
"Entrance and breakfast room is clean and well maintained. Great breakfast.Rooms needs major renovation. Needs in room electrical outlets to charge phone etc...beddings could be better.. would need improvement."
Superior Inn Hotel and Conference Centre Thunder Bay
2/10 Terrible
"We checked in late in the day after driving 12 hours and asked only for a quite room...
- the thermostat was from the 1970s so no way to force the A/C on, which meant the room was hotter than we liked
- they put us beside a room of twenty-somethings sharing the room for what I can only speculate was a Saturday night out in the city. The group returned at 1:00 am to continue partying.
- then, just when my wife and I had enough with the noise and were going to phone the front desk the fire alarm was triggered at 3:00am and the whole hotel had to be evacuated.
Luckily we did sleep from 9:00pm until 1:30, so we did get some rest before resuming our road trip at 3:30am"
"We found that the bathroom, while clean, didn’t have the amenities we have found in other Hampton Inns. The toilet paper holder was not very conveniently placed and we ended up putting the roll on the counter.
Breakfast, while there were plenty of options, had issues. The omelettes seemed fake and the waffle maker was a challenge to use. More time was spent trying to peel the waffle off the cooking plates. Maybe there should be some cooking spray to help make it easier to use. The toasters took for ever and did a poor job of toasting the bread."
