"We had an amazing stay, our room with the terrace was gorgeous, so light and fresh. We really enjoyed use of the hot tub. A great breakfast each morning with fresh and yummy ingredients. Parking a real bonus - very secure and large enough for our van. The location was perfect, very central to all the main sights. Would definitely recommend and stay here again"

"It definitely has an old world charm about it with modern conveniences like the bathrooms were up-to-date and spacious showers. Keep in mind if you are visiting with lots of luggage, you might have a hard time with the staircase. It’s a beautiful winding staircase, and I unfortunately brought a big heavy suitcase. "Visiting Bordeaux for the first time, our host made us feel welcome and provided an excellent overview of the town, places to see, a few (very excellent) food recommendations and was available the whole stay to answer questions. Our room was perfectly prepared with everything we needed. The location made for easy walking to markets/attractions and also the tram. We had a fabulous time thanks to George’s fine hospitality."

"Located near the center city, Hotel Burdigala provides a quiet refuge from Bordeaux site seeing. Some of the front desk staff were helpful during our three day stay and the restaurant staff proved unfailingly pleasant. The hotel gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and served delicious breakfasts and nice afternoon light food at the bar when needed. From there it was an easy walk to a tram to visit city sites. Excellent room maintenance. My advice would be to avoid a room with a flat...

"Great location in the pedestrian zone. This means a taxi can only get within several blocks, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The room was spacious and very comfortable, we enjoyed the Nespresso machine it had. The housekeeping was a bit inconsistent, for example they didn’t always provide clean coffee cups and one day they took all the towels but didn’t replace them. Of course they remedied that. Overall we were very happy to be staying there. Lots of dining options in the area!"

"Room was clean and very nicely appointed. I missed the instructions for access as my phone wasn’t receiving messages and didn’t realize it was a keypad entry which I needed a code. Luckily the coffee shop attached to the property had a nice fellow who gave us access to the key box and gave us the exterior code. Location was easy to Tram but it was a little noisy because of the busy street but the room supplied ear plugs as we were on the first floor. If the coffee shop wasn’t open, which it is...
