"Very comfortable stay. Room was clean and well equipped with great en-suite bathroom. Cooked breakfast was tasty and good breakfast selections. Enjoyed lunch in restaurant before going home. Great selections on menu and well cooked. Great roast dinner options on Sunday too. "

"Another great break at the briers. Ive stayed in the slieve donard, the avoca and the donard. The briers is easily my favourite. Beautiful surroundings, clean rooms, friendly and hospitable staff. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back again before the end of the summer."
"I have travelled to many different places throughout the world but this hotel is as enjoyable an experience that we can remember of all of the places we have stayed. Whilst the hotel is quite impressive, the staff are the ones that made this quite memorable. The locals throughout the Mournes are the friendliest and most polite we have had the pleasure to meet.

"A truly wonderful find! Quiet, convenient, clean well appointed cottage, with attentive, friendly hosts. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast. A great haven for peaceful outdoor pursuits or just getting away from it all. Will happily stay again! "
"We had a truly fantastic stay at the Mourne Country House B&B. A lovely family run place. Gareth was very attentive and helpful and offered a lovely breakfast, and the place is absolutely pristinely clean. Great jump off point to the Mourne mountains. "Myself and my partner only stayed for one night. The cabin was very clean and cosy with everything we needed for our short break. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent, things that not all places we have stayed get right. We used it as a stop off on our trip to photograph the mountains and surrounding areas, this was the perfect stop off for what we wanted.

"Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not...
