Good visit to Glasgow

The hotel was comfortable, staff were pleasant and helpful. We had no complaints, the hotel was quiet and was useful for the purpose of our trip to Glasgow

Very enjoyable & comfortable two night stay, ate first night in hotel, food, first class. Rooms were very clean & comfortable. Cost around £10 for Uber into Glasgow City. Staff more than helpful & buffet breakfast on last morning, which was excellent.

The room was horrendous, a dirty sock over the smoke alarm, cracked sink, dried blood on the bathroom floor, very dusty room with loud noise from the motorway, was a decent hotel but gone down hill rapidly

Does the job. Free parking was a big plus, breakfast filled a hole but was nothing to write home about. Best bit was the potato cakes. Room was a bit grim, lumpy bed and stained carpets and furniture. If you're in and out and want to save money it was clean enough with good transport links, about 10 minute walk to the tube and a bus stop right outside

Lovely staff, uncomfortable bed.

Lovely staff. Nice room. Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows smelled of greasy hair from previous guest, which spoiled my sleep. Also, there are no plug sockets to charge your phone or laptop near the bed, so i had to leave my phone on the other side of the room. The window did not fully close either. No hairdryer or iron in the room.

No hot water

Fire alarm rang at 1am. Everyone had to go outside of the building. Apparently there was a fault with the heating system and hence there was no hot water at all in the morning.

A bit mixed

Room and en-suite was good, quite large, but the mattress on the bed was awful! Springs poking through! Breakfast on Saturday was lovely and cooked to order but Sunday was self serve - lukewarm on cold plates not so good! We were going to the OVO for an event and wanted to eat late lunch/early dinner from the restaurant which said on the website it was open all the way through from 1pm. it was no open till 5pm - too late for use. This was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel to stay so disappointing.

Lack of staff on arrival. I’ve person was doing the job of four very well May I add. Mattress cover was stained. Dinner was supposed m to start at five but staff member turned up at five twenty. Ran out of coffee, bread, at breakfast. Specifically asked for our side plates to be left as there were ham to be used but on arrival back to the table all had been cleared. I had a great experience at this hotel seven years ago. To return and find it looking sad with minimal staff was awful. No tunnocks t cakes in rooms.

Not best impressed

I stayed here when it first opened & i remember it being better. The room doors are super heavy. The mattress was brick hard had no give in it at all, although all the bedding & towels were clean. As i was leaving i did find a French fry half hiding under the bedside lamp which was lovely. I got given a sheet on check in with wifi info etc on it & was told inn the sheet that the restaurant was closed due to the pandemic only to go down in the morning to check out & discover what looked to be people in the restaurant having breakfast so despite paying for breakfast i never got it. Overall not particularly happy & i won't be back
