"We wish we had stayed more than one night. This property was phenomenal. The staff were pleasant, helpful and professional. The food was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay there again."

"Helpful reception and breakfast waitress. Room was clean. Main problem was size of bedroom and bathroom and both needed some refurbishment. The breakfast was very average. Everything was self service causing long queues for coffee toast etc as 3 large coach parties staying. Hot breakfast was not very hot. Arrived after 9pm and not enough car parking. Generally expensive and poor value for money. Would not stay again."

"Charming hotel, very old, but not same standard as London or Edinburgh. Diner at the Restaurant is really good. We chose this hotel because it was near of the ferry for Isle of Skye… unfortunately the ferry was not in service (engine issue)… so 2 hour and a half road trip to get to Quiraing instead… so make sure ferry is in operation if you want to stay in this hotel to get to Isle of Skye"

"Wonderful hosts whom made us a late request dinner. Rooms were clean and neat and everything was well decorated and functioning. A very nice breakfast as well. A minute to the ferry to Isle of Mull giving plenty of time for a day exploring Duart castle and Tobermorey. Highly recommend!"

"It was hard to find staff, especially for lunch. Our room was down a weird warren of hallways up steps and down steps. The room and bathroom were attractive. The pillows were awful! They wouldn’t fluff. It was a heatwave when we were there. The cleaning staff left the heater on. I was hot and couldn’t sleep. There wasn’t a fan to help move the air. Dinner was expensive and bland. The shower was difficult to get in and out of.There were no extras in the bathroom you would expect from the price...

"Neil is a phenomenal host who has thought of everything. And if you want to know about the history of Scotland or England or want to discuss it, you've come to the right place! He's incredibly knowledgeable about a variety of topics. He's also a tremendous cook and has a great sense of humor. And the view of Ben Nevis right out the window is to die for. We slept very well in the super comfortable bed and woke to the sound of chirping birds."

"first of all there is no elevator which seems strange, as you have to carry your bags . secondly there was no air conditioning. the room was really hot and humid. a small fan was provided which was not helpful"

"We enjoyed use of kitchen /dining space, which included tea, coffee, and proper dishes and utensils. We could store extra food in the refrigerator. The warming closet to hang up wet clothes was amazing. Bed was very comfortable. View of lake was lovely. Host was attentive. Great stepping off point for hiking."

"Proper stay for a night or two. Very friendly welcome at the bar. Room was recently renovated with a good mattress and clean bathroom. Improvement points: Hallway to the rooms smells to smoking. Service at breakfast could be improved, the lady seemed in a bad mood."

"Very nice location, on the water near The Corran ferry which you can access to go to restaurants across the loch. Large parking lot, very comfortable common areas to include a large living room/lounge area, kitchen and outdoor space. The rooms are quite small but sufficient if only staying 1-2 nights. The shower was very small so if you are tall or large, you may have an issue. We enjoyed our stay here."

"The view out the front window of the hotel is beautiful. The food was ok.. not amazing. I ordered the risotto and it was terrible. We ended up walking to a nearby restaurant for drinks and their restaurant was booked and had more options. Jay the manager was super friendly and the room was comfortable and the bathrooms newly renovated and clean."
