"The Crown is one of our favourite places to stay. We would never visit England without making a stop for a few days at The Crown in Chiddingfold! The staff are wonderful and welcoming! The rooms are comfortable and historic!"

"Friendly welcome. Characterful room with good quality tea tray. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not overly clean and the bathroom in particular was tired, run down and felt grubby. Black and dirty sealant around the outside of shower. Broken tiles on floor, broken loo roll holder, grubby and badly marked walls and thick dust/grime on skirting. With a deep clean and a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay."

"The Mitre is an exceptional hotel, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was amazing, served in a gorgeous area overlooking the river. The location couldn’t be better; you are in an out-of-the-way part of London with small village charm. "The indoor pool was quite small and tended to be very busy with children, so it wasn’t the most relaxing experience. However, the room itself was spacious and very comfortable, with Molton Brown toiletries provided, and having a bath in the room was a lovely touch. The cooked breakfast was also excellent and really enjoyable each morning.
That said, I do think the property could benefit from some general maintenance and updating in certain areas."

"Extremely dog friendly, loved that the dog friendly rooms opened onto the courtyard garden (enclosed). The walks are beautiful/ stunning. Dogs welcome in the restaurants. Highly recommend."
