"We LOVED this place. The rooms were so comfortable. It felt like the bathroom floor was heated and there was a towel warmer. It was fun watching the cows, and the food was delicious. We saw Northern Lights while we were here too!"

"This is a good choice if you need a mid point to take a break on your way south. It’s very basic so don’t expect much, but the twin beds and pillows are very comfortable. We chose it hoping it’s far enough from the city lights to see the aurora, but no luck with all the clouds in the way. It’s still a decent place, no wake up call offered but I was able to go out of both exits on the upper floor regularly to check for aurora. I’d stay here again if too tired to drive."

"Hotel is next to the power plant, but otherwise nothing around it so beautiful nature views. Very dark at night for Northern Lights. The glass house and Northern Lights bar areas are really cool. The heated outdoor pool is interesting. We had a lovely soak...just note it's only a few feet deep. Food at Silfra was ok. We didn't stay for breakfast. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and well maintained. The ride through the parks to get here is STUNNING."

"Ironically the absolute best place we stayed in all of Iceland. Amenities like a kitchen and hot tub and just the amazing view made this extremely worthwhile. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and responsive to my questions. Even providing suggestions. Location was perfect for the Golden Circle. So dark at night we saw the Northern lights in late August. We loved this cabin. Would definitely come again."

"Convenient location with comfortable room. The restaurant is excellent for dinner, the included breakfast was great with fresh baked bread daily. We enjoyed the hot tub next to the river, including the quick dip in the river (November)."

"Good location for exploring the Golden Circle. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Handy to have a kitchen, albeit a bit small. Good shower. Excellent communication with staff- prompt responses to email. Lights not all working so bulbs could do with checking."

"Had a very relaxing stay watching the Northern Lights from the comfort of our bed. Everything is 1st class here. Very responsive to calls - explained how everything worked. All managed remotely so anything can be resolved quickly. Highly recommend. Conveniently located to sightseeing. Bring whatever food or drink as it is a distance to go out after arriving. Air fryer tea kettle and burner. If doing laundry bring soap."

"I just gave the stars on the look of this place. Unfortunately we were not able to stay the night we had booked this place for. We were stuck on the highway for the whole night because of a bad accident. By the time it cleared it was time to reach our next tour booking of Glacier hike. I’m still waiting if I would get some kind of compensation"
