"When we checked in, we went to our assigned room and the key did not work. We had to go all the way back down to get the key fixed. "If you're flying in or out of Tampa, this is by far, THE PLACE TO STAY.?
You literally walk one step and you go from the lobby into the terminal.
The room was on a recently renovated floor and was first class as was the bar/ lounge and the breakfast Cafe. The food was excellent.
The pick-up and return of the rental car was so efficient, right on the property.
Check in valet service, or self parking was also the easiest I've ever seen at a major airport.

"Pictures for this location are deceiving. Staff is friendly, but not very talkative. The property if very old and average at best regarding maintenance. Our room has several large spider webs in the ceiling corners and several large spiders had to be taken care of during our stay. The bathtub and surround had black mold growth. There is a deck patio area with an outside light that cannont be turned off, so your room is lighted all night long. The coffee vats in the lobby were always empty...

"We recently visited Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and stayed with our family of six in a suite at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tampa near Busch Gardens. The room was spacious and worked perfectly for all of us, which made our stay very comfortable.
We did run into a small issue in one of the bathrooms, but the hotel handled it quickly and even reimbursed part of our stay, much appreciated gesture. Thank you!
For a short family trip, I definitely recommend this hotel. It’s conveniently located...
