Glen Eyrie Castle & Conference Center A Ministry of the Navigators
10/10 Excellent
"It's one of kind experience you would expect in a small city like Colorado springs. It's a resort, wilth garden of gods rocks view from the cottages and ultimate breakfast for the price.
Had great time!"
"Nice place. Great pool area. But…. NO hot water in shower in the morning. I can do a cold shower but it is better when the water is hot. Stayed three nights and only happened on last day there."
Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Hotels
8/10 Good
"Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The resort offers many great amenities, and a wonderful mountain setting. The staff was friendly, and there was plenty to do.
That said, the property could benefit from some maintenance and safety upgrades. My husband hit his head several times on a low beam over a stairway that wasn’t marked with any warning signage. We also noticed a few railings that felt loose or had cracks, which could become a safety concern if someone leaned against them.
The elevators also seemed to need maintenance. Rather than coming to a smooth stop, they often ended with a noticeable jolt, which was a little unsettling.
At the aquatic pool, the stairs leading to the children’s slide had anti-slip strips, but they were quite steep, and the hard surface at the bottom didn’t appear to have any rubberized safety padding!!! If a child were to slip or fall, the landing could result in a serious injury!!!!!!
One other disappointment was paying extra for a Mountain View room (booked through Expedia) While we did have a mountain view, many guests with less expensive resort-view rooms appeared to have equally nice views, so we didn’t feel the upgrade offered much additional value.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the resort, but I hope the property invests in maintenance and SAFETY improvements, as it has the potential to be an great resort."
"Airport shuttle didn’t start until 5:10 am. Would’ve been better for us if it had started @5:00 am. Shuttle schedule was posted on website, but not on Expedia. Would’ve been better for us to have Expedia in the loop."
"The pool was a very nice size and warm. Plenty amenities for kids to be entertained. Super friendly staff. Breakfast was wonderful. The bed was super comfy for deluxe queen. I would honestly stay here again when I come to Colorado Springs, in a good area for plenty of things to do."
