"Not bad, they were working on, redoing the stair coverings. It made the stairwells look a little sketchy… But overall, you could tell they were working on improvements. The room was clean and large."
"My party of 3 adults reserved one of their ”suites” (500) for 2 nights mid April 2026. I looked at other hotels in the area, but this one had a bigger room for a better price.
Our suite was 2 connecting rooms. The 1st room in the suite has a 2 person jetted tub right when you walk in. The bathroom was decent - lots of counter space with a tub/shower combo. The bedroom area had a built in desk with 3 good sized dresser drawers & a large TV. We had a king sized bed with built in nightstands that had plenty of plugs for all of our gadgets.
The adjacent room had a pull out sofa, a 2nd bathroom & a little kitchenette area with microwave, frig & coffee area. We had to request some of the bedding to make the pull out bed but it was quickly provided.
I wasn’t a fan of the plantation shutters instead of traditional hotel blackout curtains on the windows but fortunately there wasn’t too much light in the morning.
We enjoyed our stay in York & I would definitely consider staying here again when in the area"
"Breakfast was below average! Not much of a choice. The juice container was frozen so no juice. One bar of soap for use by sink and had to take to the shower to use. One tiny shampoo for two people. No TV quide to know major local channels. No drinking cups so had to use coffee cups."
"The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. Except for o e loud car in the parking lot about 9pm, it was quiet and restful. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The facility is well kept but could stand updating. That said, they're doing well with it all the same. The restaurant next door was good, clean, and the good was good. As value goes, you can't beat The Yorkshire if you plan to stay in York."
"For $90 a night they could do better. The lady was nice at the front desk. The first room they put us in the door was open and the lights were all on and the floor was dirty. She did change our room. The next room stunk horribly. The bedding was clean? But also had an odor to where I slept on my coat which I had to air out in the morning. The towels also had am odor to them. "
