Excellent location walking distance to the center of town. Everyone is friendly and very safe to walk around cleaning lady Noami And property manager, Ana were very helpful with questions regarding the area.
We really enjoyed our stay in this cute, colorful place! The tilaquepaque markets and restaurants were just a couple of block away, meaning we could go out late and just walk home when we wanted. Ana was a wonderful host, checking in on us before we arrived and after we left - and helped arrange for a shuttle to the airport at 3am. Would love to visit again!
Boutique Hotel Casa Elefanteis located steps from the tourist/market area of Tlaquepaque. This hotel was a very good value for us. The staff were attentive and aim to please. There is an electronic entrance so coming and going was very easy. The room was comfortable and had a bathroom that was uniquely decorated with a wonderful walk-in shower. There is a sitting area outside the rooms ... like a mirador .... on the second floor isolated from the street scene. The night lighting was rustic and soothing in the outdoor space. The area was quite safe and there is a large school nearby so there was activity that added to the comfort of stepping out. Active but not so active as in the tourist spot that was steps away. On Sundays the streets nearby are closed to traffic from morning until mid-afternoon providing access to the Guadalajara network of bicycle routes; so if partaking in the Sunday ride is your thing then this place is a perfect base. We are glad we stayed at Casa Elefanteis and would return if we are in the area again.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Registration and communication were pretty easy and good. However, I was very disappointed with the room I got. It looked very little like the pictures, the bed barely fits in the room. The cover of the sliding bed was dirty and noisy. The walls were dirty too and to top it off there were several mosquitoes in the room.
I don’t think would ever stay there again. My room was not a boutique one at all.
