Breakfast was expansive and good quality. The Japanese western style room was large and very nice. The onsen was enjoyable with a good option of temps. Be mindful of getting dining reservations even onsite. One evening despite and empty Japanese pub we could not dine. We did eat there twice the food was great.

We really enjoyed the size of the room and the comfortable bed and bedding. We also enjoyed the Japanese loungewear available for use. There was a cute gift shop. The breakfast buffet was nicely presented and had many options. Staff were pleasant. We stayed 2 nights.

Hotel is nice, location is great, check-in staff were great. We tried to go to the Izakaya on the second floor on our first night there and we're told "we full" and shooed out even though there were empty tables clearly visible. That kind of turned us off of trying any of the other restaurants there. Otherwise a good stay.

Excellent location, accessible to shops and restaurants. It’s got a lift for visitors with luggages to easily reach the hotel entrance from the lower ground. Hotel is well maintained and room is spacious. However, the outdoor onsen of the male side was closed on our day of visit. We asked if we could pay to use the private onsen, the front staff just said “no” and didn’t explain why. But other than that, our stay is wonderful. The kaiseki dinner and the breakfast buffet were both nice.

We had a wonderful stay during our visit toHakone. The hotel is older but very well maintained and full of charm. Our room was spacious and had two balconies with beautiful mountain views. It included three single beds and a comfortable tatami area with a sofa and table, which made it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast offered a good variety of both Japanese and Western options and everything was well prepared and nicely presented. The service throughout the hotel was impeccable—staff were very friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented. The Japanese onsen in the hotel is definitely a highlight and something every guest should experience. It is open from 5 a.m. until 1 a.m., which makes it very convenient. Our family of three, including our teenage son, enjoyed it very much. The location is excellent, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to local attractions. We stayed for two nights and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hakone.
