"I have stayed in a number of Hampton Inn and this property needs to be better maintained. Unfortunately we had to change rooms due to a non-working TV and due to a key lockout due to a power surge from a storm. The staff responded very quickly reprogramming room keys for new and existing customers. All in all, the staff was expedient and friendly. Please improve the breakfast selection and quantity on the weekend. It was nearly gone at 8:30 in the morning."

"The property is a bit dated but not enough to disrupt the quality of the stay. The highlight of the property is Keri and Precious! We were there on a very, very busy week and they worked so hard the entire time we were there. Even when people came to them with hiccups or complaints they did their best to remedy guests concerns (even those that were being unkind). If I choose to stay there again it will be because of those ladies."

"Mary @ Front Desk was more than just that, she is a superstar and made us feel important and not invisible. She went above and beyond to help us when our reservation was canceled even after we were checked in.... it was a nightmare, but she helped us immensely. I will recommend The Spark to anyone traveling in Waldorf! We will also be back in the future."

"Had the worse experience! I will never stay here again. We arrived at the hotel at almost 9:30 from a 10hr drive. Get everything situated at check in, we head up to our room and we walk to a dirty room, trash still in the room dirty sheets piled up on the couch, bed unmade like someone just rolled out of it. Irritated was beyond words. Head back down and they lucky had another room for 1 night that we was able to stay in, but the up keep was not what the pictures showed. This room had broken...

"To begin, upon our arrival, there were several individuals in the lobby who appeared to be local residents loitering in the area. The lobby itself was generally unclean, creating a poor first impression. The elevator was also dirty, and the hallway leading to our room had a strong animal odor. Unfortunately, the room itself had the same strong odor and was in a noticeable state of disrepair. We requested an additional pillow and had to negotiate with staff in order to receive one. "Cockroach on 2nd floor. Bug in my room. Carpet from the 90s. Bathroom not clean. I asked for a room near the elevators and he put me at the exit door. Very disappointing considering I had stayed multiple nights. I won't be back. Staff unfriendly."

"Bathroom had mold, mattress on pull out couch was filthy. No blankets, windows shade was ripped. Parking lot had wine and beer bottles over it."

"This was the worst didnt even stay dirty sheets small pillows not enough linens eberything smeared like not even cleaned. It was musty muggy and hot. The pictures and review have done nothing for this horrible experience. Staff rude and not helpful just walk by ignore you. Very upset drove 4 hours for a motor cross championship just to drive all the way home with a 9 year old and 16 month old at that. Very disappointing."

"I enjoyed the environment, the amenities that was inside and outside of the hotel. The staff was amazing. I was intrigued about how the staff supported me in distress early in the morning and the room the staff and everything else was great. I would definitely book a room again. "Towels & wash cloths were very DINGY, which calls into question the bed clothes as well. Also a complete lapse of communication /coordination between front desk shifts resulted in unnecessary stress and complication for check in of the 2 rooms I had reserved"

"okay so the rooms are definitely outdated, needs a makeover for sure.. I hate that the pool doesn’t open until 4pm that’s actually insane. Pool was clean. Breakfast was nice. Location 10/10 I love Richmond hwy! I will definitely return great prices, very friendly staff !"
