"Everything was clean and fresh throughout my stay. I ended up staying here multiple times while traveling in and out of Antigua during my trip to Guatemala. The rooftop is lovely, with an amazing view of Volcán de Agua, and the courtyard is absolutely beautiful. It can be a bit noisy, as you can hear what’s happening in the courtyard—like guests or staff passing through, doors closing, and the water fountain (which is turned off at night). It’s not party noise or loud crowds, just general ambient sounds. The location is very convenient, and the staff is friendly. I would definitely come back. "

"Hotel El Carmen with all its extremely kind people was beautiful. Especially dining on the rooftop terrace was such a treat every morning and night. Food was delicious. Location is excellent, you can walk everywhere and it was very safe."
