"This place is how a hotel should be. It was absolutely fabulous from beginning to end. Staff is wonderful. Hotel is gorgeous. Rooms are clean, updated and nice."

"Lovely hotel and conveniently located within the town of Richmond and also as one who arrived by car. Staff was superior. Not only friendly, but extremely helpful with any request - front desk, room service, bellman and valet attendant. All worked efficiently and with professionalism. Our room was small and had an unappealing view, but the reservation was last minute and well priced. In-room info was well thought out and graciously displayed. Was pleasantly surprised that the room service cuisine was VERY good, as even many fine hotels’ renditions of classics only pay lip service to in-room dining. I did have one serious complaint and that was the overpowering smell in the room. The AC was on at arrival but the air was heavy and dank (mildew, mold) which never dissipated. As our stay was a quick turnaround, the easiest solution was to turn off the AC and call it a night. The air remained bothersome, but slightly improved. The room furnishings seemed ever so slightly dated, and needed attention to a few scratches, and perhaps that spot on the rug near the AC unit, but nothing that made one uncomfortable. All in all, had it not been for the air in the room and the sad view, I would have rated it a 5. "

"Lots of people coming and going. A lot with dogs. I guess a lot section 8 situations. Staff was loud and some unprofessional. Children behind desk. Broken down trollies for luggage. elevator missing paint and big hole in ceiling of it also. Hallway smelled of cigarettes and popcorn. Room very musty. Thank God the window opened. only one towel for 2 ppl and staff unwilling to get us another. No soap, one roll of toilet paper. Kitchen in room was rough looking and dingy looking, not particularly clean. Bed not comfortable. But we were so tired and for one night we suffered through it. Never again"

"This place is always top notch. It is always clean and you can even smell the cleanliness. When I checked in on the 2nd floor, the room across from me was being cleaned by a housekeeper. She spent ample time in there. When I went back out after going in my room, she was still cleaning. Outstanding work. "

"Great location right off the I-95 and close proximity to amenities. Easy check-in; friendly, courteous employees. Clean exterior, grounds and parking area. Large room with king bed (very comfortable), sofa, and small fridge and microwave. Large, clean bathroom. Clean dining area and good hot breakfast. Would stay here again."

"The rooms are only cleaned every two days which we were not made aware of when I finally complained. They did send a maid, but she only made one of the beds. We did not receive any new towels, and when I went to the manager for towels, we could only find three. No hand towels no new wash racks The foyer area in our roomlooked dirty upon arriving. The pictures were very dirty. The beds were so soft that you sunk in them and had difficulty getting out. The bed frame had rusted metal bracket sticking out that I hit my leg on several times. The extra bracket to lock the door with was broken and hanging. The hotel does have a wonderful fresh smell when you enter the carpets throughout need cleaning. The elevator does not look like it's been cleaned in a very long time, the door opens incredibly slow and squeaks. It is also missing its service, inspection notice that's usually posted above the buttons my guess is it hasn't been serviced in a very long time, the bathroom, other than the floor did appear clean."

"The room wasn't clean at all and had a horrible smell. I never even stayed here and asked for a refund as I was leaving and they said despite the fact that the room was so dirty. They even had an unclean hallway. The bathtub had brownish stains on it and the drawers in the dresser wouldn't close were wide open. The refrigerator was gross and was wide open when I walked in and had an awful smell to it. 0/10 experience."
