"I liked the place. The remodel of the basement was very well done great view of the water. But be aware it is a long way down a steep stairway. Also be aware that the place where you park is above the basement apartment down a short but fairly steep gravel path and/or another steep stairway. My wife and I are old and very unsteady on or feet. It would have been nice for us old folks if we had known what we were getting into. But it’s great if you are young. Days Inn by Wyndham Lakewood South Tacoma

"Friendly Staff, Convenient Ground-Floor Parking, but This Property Could Use a Refresh We generally enjoy staying at Days Inn locations, and this stay was pleasant overall, but this particular property is definitely showing its age. The room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk employee was very friendly and helpful. She made the check-in process quick and happily accommodated my request for a ground-floor room, which made loading and unloading the car extremely convenient since we were able to park right outside the door. The bed was comfortable, although it was a bit squeaky and noisy. The microwave and refrigerator worked perfectly and were a nice convenience. There were a few things that could be improved. The bathroom sink faucet is an older style that produces a very strong, narrow stream of water, making it uncomfortable to wash your hands and causing water to splash everywhere. The TV was also frustrating because it repeatedly asked for a login or password. We didn’t feel like calling the front desk, so we simply gave up trying to use it. The other downside was the noise from some of the guests. At one point, someone was pressure-washing their pickup truck in the parking lot directly outside the rooms, which was a bit unusual and disruptive. Overall, we still enjoy the Days Inn brand and appreciated the friendly service, clean room, and convenient parking. However, this specific location would benefit from some renovations and updated amenities."
