"Our stay at Burnhopeside Hall was one of our most memorable ever. Christine, our hostess, was delightful and helpful. The room was spacious and the surroundings could not have been more grand. This is a stately old home, full of beautiful furniture and dishes, near sheep pastures and the river. "Lovely clean room, bathroom a good size, think we might have had the largest room. Bed was soft and comfy. Breakfast was delicious, cooked perfectly. Pub is in a good position in the village with walks from the doorstep and near great TI office. Pub meals are not overpriced."
