"We had a poor experience here. The heating in the cottage didn't work, so we were uncomfortably cold throughout our stay. We asked for help as soon as we checked in, but the host was unresponsive. There were small beetles in the bed, there was a leak from the base of the toilet, and the front door lock was faulty, so locking and unlocking the front door was tricky. Everything felt damp. We haven't heard anything back from the host when we identified these issues."

It was also very well maintained and the biscuits, cake and milk were a nice welcoming touch. It was perfect for our stay, it’s tucked away in the country but only a short drive or walk to the nearest local shops / pubs. I was able to walk easily to the local convenience store in Castleton.
