"When I checked in the bathtub faucet was dripping loudly and nonstop… Maintenance checked it out but couldn't fix it… I asked to change rooms because I'm a light sleeper… Front desk was accommodating though I feel like they did not want to change to a better room because I had used hotel.com… But they did give me a room on the top floor at my request… unfortunately the bathroom sink faucet was dripping nonstop in this room… But it wasn't noisy and I just let it go because I was tired… I had stayed here in the past and it was shabbier than I remember… Carpet and doors were worn… At 3 AM someone turned the handle on the connecting door to the next room and scared me to death… I called downstairs and was told somebody had checked in late.. so at least it was legit but still scary because there's not a real way to block that door-
I would like to say overall I was there for two nights because I could not cancel the second night and get my money back, but my bed was comfortable and plain, the pillows were great, the air conditioner was COLD and that's a biggie in my world… I was able to take a hot bath both nights… And though the breakfast consisted of prepackaged egg cheese and sausage croissant and some yogurt, it's true what they say "you get what you pay for"… And I chose a lesser expensive hotel… Not sure if I would choose this particular one again in the future though… Maybe pay just a little bit more"
"This is my go to place when in Hattiesburg. Greet staff especially the front desk crew. Burger Theory is the restraint - good food, breakfast is a fee but whet a spread!! "
Holiday Inn Express Hattiesburg West Univ Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast buffet was great. The only complaint we had is that the breakfast should start at 6 on weekdays not 6:30. People, like us, that are there during the week have to get to work so 6:30 was too late. "
