"We were situated in the older tower, but had a great view of bay. It was more difficult to find and navigate to hotel restaurant due to lack of any signage, and that our more obvious route was outside. Hilo is, after all, the rainiest city on the planet. Took us a wet try, and getting info to "maze" back to the older tower from restaurant staff. We suggest better signage, or info in room. "I would give a higher rating but there were construction noises everyday since our first day in the room next door. I asked my elderly mother if we should request another room but she said that would be difficult for her to pack and move again. My suggestion is to advise the guest at the front desk before they unpack that there is construction in the next room so they are informed and offered a room with no construction going on next door and comp the guest or refund if its a downgrade. "We were greatly disappointed in the overall condition of the 2 bedroom suite on this property. The following reasons: 1. Our room was 7030, a very long walk having to pass 29 rooms before reaching our room from the elevator. Staircases were not easily visible - in case of fire! 2. Upon arrival into our suite it felt it was not clean - Lipstick stains on coffee cup and plastic water cups - see attached photos. Did not feel comfortable using the utensils and dishes so we washed them before...
