"Excellent location close to beach, eatery access. Hotel decor is a bit outdated for a 4 star hotel, the room we stayed at was more like a 3 star hotel. Carpet and flooring needs regular cleaning. room is dusty. We stayed at the Makai. Hotel area is huge. If you have mobility issues it may be hard to get around by foot. They do have Tram train to get around hotel.but very slow."

I believed I have received 2 different type of service:
Staffs from the online registration were super nice and helpful.
Staffs at the front desk were super cold! At check out time, they even tried to charge me more for what I have already paid on the room.
The room:
Upon entering the room, we can smell an odor from the carpet. It could be because the weather was hot and humid, and the AC was not On."
"Our 6th stay in this property and still in love, family friendly resort we all enjoyed. Just heads up the boat rides are closed for almost a year now as been told but the tram still working but expect at least 30 minutes waiting"

We booked three rooms, and all of them were on the ground floor, right next to the swimming pool. "Booked ocean view room. 1st room had bugs. Moved us to a room where the air conditioning was not working. Moved us to a 3rd room with a parking lot view. Was offered to change the room the next day for an ocean view. We did not want to move again and risk it, so they waived our parking fees.
Overall we were quite happy. Staff were great. Breakfast was good."
