"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! "We stayed in the South building. The staff are incredible. Attentive and professional. Food and service was outstanding. Room was small but comfortable. So good having ski in ski out. Godala at the door and we were lucky it snowed and we had good skiing in mid Dec. Only thing I would have changed was to book the 3 bed room for a bit more space and views over the ski field. Bus from Nagano Station was easy to catch with luggage."
