"We recently stayed at a Drury Inn, and overall, our experience was pretty positive. We arrived quite late—around 12:30 in the morning—and the front desk was very accommodating with our late check-in. They had our room ready since we had prepaid, so there was no worry about losing our reservation even though the hotel was fully booked. The breakfast the next morning was really good, as we've come to expect from the Drury Inn chain, so that was a nice start to the day. We did notice the hot tub and pool area was filled with kids, so we didn't get to enjoy that and decided to skip that. But we did appreciate the late checkout they offered us, letting us stay until noon instead of 11 a.m. Now, the main downside was definitely the parking situation. When we arrived, there were absolutely no parking spots available because the lot was filled with tour buses and semi-trucks. Apparently, the hotel has a contract allowing them to take up multiple parking rows, which left no space for regular vehicles. It would be much better if they had a designated area for large vehicles so that guests wouldn’t have to struggle with parking. In conclusion, the staff were friendly and the amenities were up to standard, but the parking issue was definitely a hiccup in an otherwise pleasant stay."
"This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. The entire property smelled heavily of mildew and mold from the moment we entered the building. The odor was present throughout the hallways, common areas, and guest room areas and was so strong that it aggravated my asthma and caused breathing discomfort during my stay.
The hotel is clearly not being maintained to an acceptable standard. There were noticeable maintenance issues throughout the property, and I was particularly concerned about safety after finding door that did not appear to lock properly. No guest should have to worry about their health or security while staying at a hotel.
What is even more unacceptable is that despite raising these concerns, the manager never contacted me, never followed up, and made no effort to address the situation. The complete lack of accountability and customer service was extremely disappointing.
This property falls well below the standards I would expect from a branded hotel, and I cannot recommend staying here until these serious maintenance, cleanliness, and management issues are addressed."
"Great experience for an over night stay vs a traditional highway hotel. It being a beautiful mansion within the historical area, added to our trip’s memories."
"The security lock on the door was broken, turned on TV had a picture turned off to go out to eat but when we returned NO picture but sound. Was told having issues with cable?.. Where you hang your clothes on was coming out of the wall. No clock in room, no kleenex box, the outlets on the lamp was loose for my charging box for my cell phones. You could take a shower and a bath at the same time (drain was very slow)
GOOD: A/C"
