The big problem with this room was the bar was below it and outside area where people smoked and the smell of smoke drifted in to the room even though the window was closed. I thought the smoking would stop but at 2 AM there were still people down there being loud and smoking combined that with another guest who had a dog that literally never stopped barking until very late in the evening and then started barking again before 7am. "This is a gorgeous property! We stayed for a long weekend to attend a wedding and had a fabulous time. Although our hotel room was in the older wing of the hotel, the room was in outstanding condition and spotless. The staff and the food/beverage options are also great! Highly recommend and feel like this place is a hidden gem given how remote it feels but yet how relatively close it is to CPH."

"The hotel has an amazing spa and good beds, but the service is flat or nonexistent and the rooms could use an update. Especially the mold in bathroom. As other guests comment: the amount of add ons and lack of basic amenities (coffee/snacks throughout day, more varied food options, room amenities) was a turn off. "I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Skandia. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect - a short walk from the train station. The castle was also only a short walk. The street food centre was also very close with some excellent choices."
